We met Carrie and Ben at Chris and Shelly’s wedding and we recognized right away what a wonderful couple they are. September is such a beautiful time of year for a wedding. The weather threatened at times but the skies stayed clear and let the sun shine on their special day. Carrie was absolutely radiant and a joy to photograph. Ben was handsome and kind and his love for Carrie was always evident. They were surrounded by many loving friends and family. It was a wonderful day and it was an honour to photograph such a special couple.

The Columbia rolls in the summer; at the headwaters, breaking free from the lakes. Maddy and I took the backroads, looking for old bridges.

Maddy is as natural as the mighty river, tangled brush and setting sun.

Erika and Jeff are a very special couple. Their wedding day at Heather Mountain Lodge near Golden, BC was absolutely beautiful. They were surrounded by loving friends and family. It is evident how much they love each other.

We were honoured to not only photograph Jeff and Erika but also celebrate their wedding. We have only begun to go through all of the photos we took. Here is just a few samples from their special day.

We are always so honoured to be asked to photograph weddings of local couples. It is apparent how much the area means to them. Matt and Kerri were married on the farm where Kerri grew up and where they will now make their home. They were surrounded by loving friends and family and a few pets. The day was lovely from beginning to end. We took many photographs and this is just a small sample.

Shelly and Chris tied the knot at Panorama Resort. We were especially honoured to have been asked to take their wedding photos. Chris is our cousin that we have enjoyed watching grow into a wonderful man. Now we have a new cousin - the very beautiful and thoughtful Shelly.

The weather was wonderful and we took many lovely photos (how could we not with such a beautiful couple). Here is a sneak peak of a few. Thanks again for letting us be a part of your special day.

Yahoo what a blast! We have photographed several weddings with Darrin in the wedding party. Now it was his turn. What an absolutely stunning bride Lesia was in the summer sun. She was never without a smile. They have great friends and the joking and laughs never stopped.

This was especially fun for us as our daughter, Kelsie, a talented photographer in her own right, helped us photograph this special couple.

We were invited to a very special wedding and thou we were not the official photographers we did manage to take a few snaps. Our daughter Kelsie married Tom Smith on September 11th. The wedding took place where the foothills meet the mountains at Nakoda Lodge. The entire day was amazing. We are so proud of Kelsie and our new son Tom.

Holly and Doug’s wedding was special for us. We have known Holly for some time. She went to school with our daughter Kelsie, they were even roommates, so we have seen Holly grow into a true natural beauty. Doug and Holly seem perfect for one another and were a joy to photograph. We also were happy to have Kelsie help us photograph the wedding. She is a talented photographer and her photographs turned out wonderful. The rain and wind cleared up for one day, just in time for Jolene and Jason’s wedding. And what a lovely wedding it was. We were just listening to the song they choose for the DVD we will make for them. The song is called Lucky and it suits them perfectly. We started the Spring off with the wedding of Mark and Theresa. After many years of friendship, they decided that love was inevitable and shared their marriage vows with family and friends at Panorama, British Columbia.

The day couldn’t have been better. Their two daughters, Marissa and Isabella joined in the Sand Ceremony, symbolizing the union of their family. There was not a dry eye in the room.

Just one look at Mark and Theresa and you can see how much respect and love they have for each other. It was an honour to be part of their special day.

On a November day that felt more like March, we set out with the Hoobanoff family for the Source of the Columbia. The Hoobanoff’s are a close family, with much love between them. Our job is so enjoyable while photographing such a wonderful family.

Had a blast photographing the Brockmeyer family at Lake Enid. We photographed their wedding last year (see July 2007) and we always love photographing Farris (see May 2008). The boys were great and stayed as still as two boys that age can. We even got a few smiles out of Tyler.
